Peer to Peer Support
Our goal is that all families affected by Congenital Heart Defects know that they are not alone and that there are many people ready and willing to help. Support can be through emails, texts, phone calls, or in-person visits.
Bravery Bags
MLH provides 25 Bravery Bags each month to Children's Hospital In Pittsburgh. These bags are filled with snacks, toiletries, educational materials, and comfort items for families in the Cardiac Units.
Advocacy and Awareness Events
Mended Little Heart participates in CHD Awareness week each year. We receive proclamations from the counties and the states. We attend Heart Walks to raise awareness.
How We Began
Andrea and Brett Baer founded our Southwestern PA chapter of Mended Little Hearts after their son Trenton was born with a Congenital Heart Defect. They dedicated their lives to helping the group grow and reach as many families as possible. We are very thankful for their support!
